Beef Stroganoff - Bea Anwiler

1 large onion
1 pkg sliced mushrooms
1 tbs butter
Beef - round or sirloin, cubed
2 cloves fresh garlic
1 can beef broth
1 tbs ketchup
2tbs flour
1 small container sour cream

Cook onion and mushrooms in butter, remove from pan and place in bowl. Brown beef in pan with garlic. Add 3/4 can beef broth and ketchup, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add onions and mushrooms, then mix flour and remaining beef broth and add to pan to thicken. Add sour cream and heat through. Serve over pasta.
