Dough:
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
Thoroughly mix butter, confectioners sugar, egg, vanilla and almond extract. Blend in flour, soda and cream of tartar. Cover and chill 2-3 hours.
Preheat oven to 375. Divide dough in half and roll into a ball and roll thinly on a lightly floured board. Cut out shapes and place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7-8 minutes or until light brown on the edge.
Frosting:
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup Parkay margarine, softened
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 dash salt
Beat, add food coloring as desired, then ice. Decorate with sprinkles.
