Fill a 9x13 cake pan with old buns or bread pieces (about level with top of cake pan). Melt 1 stick butter over pieces.
In a bowl, mix:
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tbl cinnamon
3/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger
Then, add 4 c milk and pour mixture over bread, cover, and refrigerate over night.
Next morning, mix:
1 c packed brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c heavy whipping cream
Microwave until butter melts, mix and pour over top. Bake for 2 hours at 350. Pudding is done when dark brown and not mushy to the touch.
